Once a year, the cooperative holds an annual meeting which serves as a forum to share the previous year’s financial and business reports and to keep members informed of progress in various system developments and within the electric utility industry. Five percent of the membership is required to attend in order to transact business.
Although it is a business meeting with important information to share with you about your cooperative, we still try to make it a fun and enjoyable event. We serve free refreshments, feature enjoyable entertainment, hand out registration gifts, provide information on co-op services, and give away numerous gifts and a grand prize.
Annual meeting is usually held in October at a location within VVEC’s service territory. Information about the meeting is shared with members through the monthly membership newsletter, VVEC Line Life, local newspapers and on this Web site.
