VVEC offers rebates on Energy Star certified products like heat pump water heaters, smart thermostats, ground source, air source heat pumps (dual fuel required), and mini split heat pumps.

THE COMPLETED FORM MUST BE SUBMITTED TO US WITHIN 90 DAYS OF PURCHASING THE APPLIANCE. Certain restrictions apply and new units are subject to on-site verification.
Used, “Like-New” and/or Refurbished Equipment does not qualify for a rebate.
Must be Energy Star Certified and the energy efficiency rating of the new unit must meet the Dept. of Energy (DOE) standards. For new construction or replacement of an existing gas or electric water heater. If the new unit replaces an existing water heater, the efficiency rating of the old unit must be less than 0.90 efficiency. No size restrictions on heat pump water heater. Tankless water heaters are not eligible for rebates.

Available for new construction, replacement of electric central air conditioner or electric resistance heat, replacement of existing air conditioner or dual fuel heat pump. Must be Energy Star Certified with at least a 15.2 SEER2 efficiency rating and be installed by a certified dealer. Mini Split must be a ductless system (not connected to any ductwork) and cannot be equipped with auxiliary/backup electric heat. Member must submit an AHRI certificate and invoice/receipt along with rebate application.

Must be Energy Star Certified and Wi-Fi-enabled (Smart). Can be used with any kind of heating and cooling system. For new construction, or the replacement of a non-Energy Star thermostat.

For a complete system installation (includes unit and ground loop), the rebate is $300.00 a ton. New system must be Energy Star Plus2 rated with an EER of 19.1 or greater and unit be installed by a certified dealer.
For a replacement of indoor ground-source heat pump unit only (does not include loop system), the rebate is $150.00 a ton. It must meet the same EER criteria and be a gain of 3 EER over the previous unit.
AHRI Certificate, Invoice/Receipt and Manual J Load Calculation forms are required for submission.
Dual Fuel (fossil fuel back up) is required. Heat pump or mini split must be connected to ductwork. Available for new construction, replacement of electric central air conditioner or electric resistance heat, replacement of existing air conditioner or dual fuel heat pump.
Rebated at $300.00 per ton for replacement system with existing fossil fuel onsite for backup.
Rebated at $500.00 per ton for new or replacement system with new fossil fuel added for backup.
The heat pump must have an Energy Star Cold Climate rating of at least 8.1 HSPF2 (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor) or greater and be installed by a certified dealer. Member must submit an AHRI Certificate and invoice/receipt along with rebate application.
